YABhg Tun Dr Mahathir bin Mohamad has been admitted to the Epworth Hospital, Melbourne, Australia, for treatment of chest infection since 9am today, Saturday Oct 2, 2010.
Currently Dr Mahathir is admitted to the general ward for antibiotics treatment and physiotherapy.
Dr Mahathir's condition is stable and he has been advised to rest. Dr Mahathir is expected to be admitted for a few days for observation. Dr Mahathir, accompanied by Tun Dr Siti Hasmah Mohd Ali, is in Melbourne, Australia, since Thursday and was expected to address a seminar on human development this afternoon, organised by the UMNO Club of Melbourne.
